Steps for Updating a CRIS Database

The following steps should be followed when updating the data in a country-specific CRIS database:

1. Backup files
2. Add new categories, subcategories, variables and locations
3. Import attribute data
4. Configure queries for browsing
5. Configure and customize CRIS attribute reports
6. Establish linkage between CRIS and ArcView
7. Customize the CRIS ArcView project
8. Create a new Installation CD or Create an updated Zip file
