• Regional Seminar on Adaptation to Climate Change and Variability in the Insular Caribbean

  Date: May 7-9, 2001
  Sponsored by the UNDP and the Government of Cuba, this technical seminar will bring together experts and government representatives from countries around the region. Participants will also benefit from the technical advice and experience of internationally recognized experts in the fields of climate change adaptation. The general objective of the seminar is to examine the issue of adaptation in the context of the insular Caribbean, by providing for an interchange of ideas, and by encouraging an increase in the level of collaboration among all countries of the region. An important result of the event will be the development of a strategic regional adaptation project involving key countries and institutions in the region.
