Ulric O'D Trotz
Project Manager
Major responsibilities:

  • Overall supervision of staff assigned to the RPIU
  • General technical overview of project activities and project office administration
  • Facilitate institutional arrangements that provides support for the implementation of the different project components including arrangements with UWI
  • Establish relevant contacts with regional and international organisations working on climate change
  • Participate in Caribbean national and regional discussions on climate change and its impact on the region
  • Liaise with national, regional, and international institutions involved in the issues addressed by the project, seeking coordination and complementarity where appropiate and beneficial to the project
  • Liaise with the NICUs and other government agencies of participating countries, NGOs, and local communities, and representatives of most affected sectors in order to achieve optimal effectiveness of project operations
  • Promote activities geared to the long term sustainability of the project
  • Assume responsibility for the functioning of the Project Advisory Committee

Leslie J. Walling
Deputy Project Manager/Coastal Resource Management Specialist (CRMS)
Major responsibilities:

  • The design and implementation of all CPACC activities related to coastal resources
  • Oversee the execution of the Inventory of Coastal Resources and Uses, and the Coral Reef Monitoring for Climate Change
  • Assist with public awareness activities related to coastal zone issues
  • Advise the Project Manager on all aspects of coastal zone management policy
  • Facilitate institutional arrangements for support to sub-consultants in the field
  • Assist Project Manager with Financial Management of the project
  • Assist Project Manager with operational and budgetary matters
  • Encourage and facilitate maximum participation of countries and regional organizations

Ian C. King
Information Systems Coordinator/Geographic Information Systems Specialist (ISC)
Major responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of Component 2: Establishment of Databases and Information Systems
  • Participate in the execution of Component 3: Inventory of Coastal Resources and Uses
  • Advise on GIS application and capacity building
  • Management of the CPACC website
  • Advise the Project Manager on all aspects of data and information management
  • Assist Project Manager with operational and budgetary matters
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support for RPIU information systems

Rawleston Moore
Projects Officer/Consultant

Major responsibilities:

  • Aid in the execution of component 6- Coastal Vulnerability and Risk Assessment
  • Provide Technical support to the RPIU
  • Assist Project Manager with Operational and budgetary matters
  • Assist countries in the region with the preparation of National Communications to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
  • To assist and advice the project manager on matters pertaining to the UNFCCC

Judi Clarke
Technical Support and Communications Officer

Major responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager and Technical Officers in the areas of research, information management and event cor-ordination
  • Facilitate communication between the RPIU and participating countries through the preparation of summary reports and presentations as well as through direct liasion with NICUs
  • Assist in the development and execution of the Public Awareness and Information Dissemination Strategy for the CPACC Project

Pat Sealey
Accounts Technician
Major responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the UWI Bursary with regard to the receipt and expenditure of project funds
  • Manage petty cash
  • Monitor the flow of funds both incoming and outgoing
  • Prepare monthly expenditure reports for submission to OAS, Washington
  • Provide data to assist technical staff in preparing budgets
  • Prepare and submit travel expenditure reports to the UWI Bursary
  • Handle administrative arrangements for conferences and workshops
Marquita Griffith
Executive Secretary

Major responsibilities:

  • Word processing of RPIU correspondence and activity reports
  • Record incoming/outgoing correspondence, including emails.
  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements for the RPIU staff
  • Assist in preparing agenda, invitations, travel and other arrangements for participants and resource persons involved in CPACC workshops
  • Maintain contact list for the National Focal Points
Keith Rouse
Driver/Office Assistant

Major responsibilities:

  • Ensure the satisfactory operation and maintenance of the CPACC vehicle
  • Transport persons and materials as required
  • Collect mail and newspapers from the UWI registry on a daily basis
  • Photocopying
  • Send and record faxes
  • Related office duties as required
Barbara Haynes
Accounts Clerk

Major responsibilities:

  • Assists the Accounts Technician with the implementation of responsibilities.
