
Caribbean and Latin America
- The University of the West Indies (U.W.I) is an independent institution, serving fourteen countries of the Commonwealth Caribbean. The non-Campus territories of the U.W.I. are served by Schools of Continuing Studies located in each of them. Some of these Schools (or 'University Centers') provide tuition, partly through a distance facility linked with the three campuses, which allows students to complete the first year of the degree program in the non-campus territories. Several institutions are affiliated with the U.W.I. Among these are Codrington (Theological) College in Barbados, the St. John Vainney Seminary in Trinidad, the St. Michael Seminary in Jamaica, the United Theological College of the West Indies, also in Jamaica, the Caribbean Meteorological Institute in Barbados, the Women and Development Unit in Barbados, the University of Guyana (in the Bachelor of Law programme), and the College of the Bahamas (in the Hotel Management programme). The three campuses of the UWI are:
- UWI Center for Environment and Development UWICED is the parent institution to the CPACC Regional Project Implementation Unit. Its stated Mission is to advance the generation of new knowledge necessary to foster greater understanding on sustainable development and to create strategic infrastructure that will facilitate innovative and entrepreneurial initiatives in order to develop viable options for socio-economic development and environmental enhancement for the wider Caribbean community..
- The Institute for Tropical Marine Ecology (ITME) A not-for-profit organization that provides education and research training for biology and environmental studies majors / graduates at its field station in Dominica, West Indies. The principal mission of ITME is to raise scientific environmental awareness by engaging students in the advancement of marine sciences.
- INBio Institucion Nacional de Biodiversidad of the University of Costa Rica.
This institute is a hemispheric leader in biodiversity studies.

- West Coast US program.

(USA) Coastal Environmental Management Program (CEMP)
- Relatively new program with a strong policy orientation, with a growing
Caribbean experience.
- Global
Warming Central
- A site established by Pace University to mark the Rio Plus 5 debates
of the United Nations, maintained by the Pace Energy Project (PEP). The
site includes the first international, on-line global warming debate between
leading environmentalists, skeptics, government officials, business leaders
and international activists.
