vulnerability, and provide policy relevant guidance for the sustainable
management of coral reef resources.
The
Purpose of Component 5is to develop at the national and
regional levels, the capacity to support and sustain a
programme for the long term monitoring of the Caribbean coral reefs to detect,quantify, and interpret the impacts ofglobal climate change for the purpose of
adaptation planning.
The
ultimate GOAL of Component 5 is to facilitate the translation of climate
change related coral reef research into adaptation policy and planning
action at the national and regional levels.
